# [BAE Systems cybersecurity incident halts Bankruptcy Noticing Center nationwide](https://securteksecurity.com/news/bae-systems-cybersecurity-incident-halts-bankruptcy-noticing-center)

The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts said on October 15 that a cybersecurity incident at BAE Systems has halted the Bankruptcy Noticing Center, which BAE operates for the federal judiciary. The center produces and transmits bankruptcy notices for all federal bankruptcy courts nationwide.

All BNC systems and sites are unavailable, including bnc.uscourts.gov, bankruptcynotices.uscourts.gov, notices.uscourts.gov, and the National Creditor Registration Service, and production and distribution of notices has stopped. BAE is investigating and working to restore operations, and the Administrative Office is coordinating with the affected courts. The underlying outage began October 9 and was first reported by individual courts as a service disruption; October 15 is the first official characterization of it as a cybersecurity incident at BAE. No data exposure figure has been stated, so this is a Cybersecurity item, not a Breaches add.
