# [Bullhorn cyber incident takes staffing platform offline worldwide; restoration under way](https://securteksecurity.com/news/bullhorn-cyber-incident-staffing-platform-offline-restoration)

Bullhorn, a recruitment technology provider used by staffing firms worldwide, detected a cyber incident and temporarily disabled access to all of its systems on October 16, 2026 to contain the activity, taking its ATS and CRM platform and its API offline. The company disclosed the incident on October 17 and said it is working with cybersecurity specialists from CrowdStrike. No threat actor, initial access method, or customer data exfiltration has been established, and Bullhorn has not said whether customer data was compromised.

In a status update at 5:00 AM ET on October 19, Bullhorn reported that systems serving Australia and EMEA and UK were back online, with US restoration estimated for 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM ET that morning. Users who do not use single sign-on must reset their passwords, API user passwords have been expired so customer managed integrations need updated credentials, and single sign-on login loops were under investigation.
