# [Nasdaq network disruption at Carteret causes data gaps across US equities feeds, now resolved](https://securteksecurity.com/news/nasdaq-network-disruption-carteret-data-feeds)

Nasdaq reported a network disruption at its Carteret, New Jersey facility on October 15 that caused intermittent data gaps across all of its US equities markets. The exchange's alert, issued at 11:27 AM Eastern, said multiple multicast groups were affected, hitting both the primary and secondary hardware and software feeds for Nasdaq, Nasdaq Texas, and Nasdaq PSX, and it advised clients to switch to unaffected backup feeds originating from its Chicago facility and to submit recovery requests for any missing data.

Nasdaq later confirmed that all systems were restored and operating normally the same day, and a person familiar with the matter told Reuters the disruption was a routine network issue rather than a failure of the exchange's internal systems, with no impact on trading itself. No indication of a cyberattack has been reported. This incident is also tracked on the Outages board.
