Agentic AI Foundation adds four projects from Anthropic, OpenAI, Hugging Face and Alibaba

The Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) announced four new hosted projects on October 22, 2026 at AGNTCon + MCPCon North America in San Jose: Agent Skills, contributed by Anthropic; Open Responses, contributed by OpenAI; OpenEnv, contributed by Hugging Face; and OpenSandbox, contributed by Alibaba. The additions bring AAIF to 10 hosted projects in its first year, up from three launch projects in December 2025, joining the Agent2Agent protocol, Agent Router, agentgateway, AGENTS.md, goose and the Model Context Protocol under open, vendor neutral governance.

The four projects cover different layers of the agent stack. Agent Skills is an open format for packaging instructions, scripts and resources that agents can load on demand. Open Responses is a multi provider specification based on the OpenAI Responses API. OpenEnv is a framework and community hub for interoperable reinforcement learning training and evaluation environments. OpenSandbox is a general purpose sandbox platform with multi language SDKs and Docker and Kubernetes runtimes for coding agents, GUI agents, code execution and training.
