Anthropic-managed Claude is now generally available on Google Cloud

Customers can now choose Claude managed by Anthropic itself on Google Cloud infrastructure, an option that reached general availability on October 22, 2026. It is priced the same as the existing Google managed option and billed on the same Google Cloud invoice, drawing down existing Google Cloud commitments, and customers sign in with their Google Cloud IAM credentials.

The difference is the data processor and the speed of new features. Under the Anthropic managed route, Anthropic is the data processor under its commercial terms, and platform features arrive the day they launch, including Claude Managed Agents in beta, skills and code execution. The Google managed option keeps Google as data processor and is the route that lists customer managed encryption keys and data residency; new platform features arrive there once Google integrates them.
