Google makes Gemini 4 Argon broadly available

Thirteen days after its September 30 gated debut for approved cyber defenders, Google opened Argon through the paid Gemini API, AI Studio, Antigravity and Gemini Enterprise, plus Pro and Ultra tiers in the Gemini app and AI Mode. Introductory pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through November 30, doubling December 1.

Update, October 15: Independent benchmarking by Artificial Analysis, reported by TechTimes and WinBuzzer, places Argon at about 52.6 to 53 on its Intelligence Index at the High reasoning setting, essentially tied with GPT-6 Astra and about four to five points below Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5. The subscriber default is Medium, so everyday performance may sit below the published High-mode figures. Argon posted the lowest hallucination rate in its class on AA-Omniscience, at the cost of lower answer accuracy.
