World launches ID verification for AI agents, starting with banking
World announced World ID for banking and finance, its first industry specific offering, at Money20/20 on October 18, 2026. AgentKit, now in beta, lets a person delegate World ID Proofs to an AI agent, which can present them to a website or service without revealing the person's information, so a merchant or bank can distinguish an agent acting for a verified human from anonymous automated traffic.
The suite also includes World ID for Zoom, now generally available, and the World ID app in more than 150 countries. No bank was named as a user.
